WordCamp Vancouver is Tomorrow!

We hope you are looking forward to WordCamp Vancouver tomorrow as much as we are! Below is some basic information to help you plan for tomorrow:

Code of Conduct

We want everyone who participates in WordCamp Vancouver to have a safe, enjoyable experience. Our Code of Conduct extends to all attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers and organizers, so please be sure to read it over before arriving.

Need help?

Organizers and volunteers will all have distinct name badges so if you have any questions or concerns during the event please do not hesitate to talk to them. There will always be an organizer or volunteer at registration throughout the event.

Location

WordCamp Vancouver 2023 will take place at UBC Robson Square (800 Robson Street). Go through the doors next to the ice rink and follow the signs down the stairs. If coming by elevator go to the Classroom level. Directions, information on parking and transit, and a map of the location can be found on our Location page.

Wifi

You can connect to the ‘ubcvisitor’ Wifi network at UBC Robson Square and then accept their terms.

Schedule

View the schedule on the website or on the posters at the event. Your name badge will also have a QR code that will take you to the schedule page on your phone. Registration begins at 8am and opening remarks start at 8:50am followed by the first sessions. If you are still trying to decide what sessions to attend, check out some of our sample itineraries.

Catering

Coffee, tea and water will be provided in the morning and later afternoon. Lunch will include sandwiches, fruit, desserts, and cold drinks and be served at 12pm.

After Party

The after party will be at Hungry Guys Kitchen & Bar at 988 Granville Street starting at 5:30pm. Food and drink tickets will be provided if you show your name badge.

WordCamp Vancouver 2023 Itineraries

Hopefully you have already got your ticket to WordCamp Vancouver on September 23 at UBC Robson Square. If you haven’t, register now for only $30 before they sell out!

To help you plan what sessions to attend at WordCamp Vancouver 2023, we’ve created five categories and placed each session into at least one category. The Categories are:

You can check the schedule on the website to see each session and its time slot as well as the category for that session. There will also be posters with the schedule at the venue on September 23.

Tickets are only $30 (CAD) and include coffee/tea, lunch, a WordCamp Vancouver 2023 tote bag, an invitation to the after party and of course a full day of networking and sessions on all things WordPress.

Call for Volunteers

Volunteer applications are now closed. Thank you to those that offered to volunteer! You will hear back from us soon.

The WordCamp Vancouver 2023 organizing team is looking for about 20 volunteers to help with various roles on the day of the event (and video editing after the event). Most volunteer roles require a 3 to 4 hour time commitment on September 23.

On Thursday, September 21 there will be a short volunteer orientation at UBC Robson Square in the evening. If you will be unable to attend that, please let us know.

Selected volunteers will be provided a coupon code for a free ticket. Wait to register for the event until after you have heard back from the organizing team.
